Amelie says, [many of the statements were prefaced with: "Granny, can I tell you one more thing?"]
"Can I say goodnight to Pop-Pop, again?"
"I need to say goodnight to Uncle Jon, again."
"I love you, Granny."
"I'm so 'cited about my sleepover!"
"I want to stay in Uncle Jon's room and play video games with him for just a little bit, okay?"
"Everything is making me too hot."
"I'm too cold."
"I want the fan on."
"I want the fan off."
"I need to go potty"
"When is your birthday?"
"Can we go downstairs and make a birthday present for you, then wrap it up?"
"Do you have wrapping and scotch tape?"
"I love Loooshy; he's my best friend."
"Can you hold me?"
"Can I sleep on the other side of you?" [This went back and forth several times!]
We read stories, watched late-night Sprout, jumped on the bed [Amels only], and laughed. At one point Pop-Pop, who decided to sleep downstairs, had to tell us to be quiet and go to sleep. Believe me when I tell you that I tried desperately to sleep and get this little one to sleep as well. She was being so precious and sweet that I could not be stern with her.
What's a granny to do?!
she IS extra cute at night! there has been more than one night where s and i let her stay up WELL past her bedtime so we can enjoy her late night cuteness!!
