Today, our newest grandchild, Ryleigh, was dedicated to the Lord. This dedication is more for the parents than for the child. It is a time when the parents acknowledge God's sovereignty not only over their child, but also Mom and Dad. The parents present their child before God and His people asking for grace and widom in carrying out their responsibilities. It is not about being a Baptist, or any other religious affiliation, but about teaching a child the values and principles found in God's Word, the Bible.
Grandparents are also included in this responsibility and Hero and I take it very seriously. Yes, we love to spoil them but we live to set that good example and impart Godly wisdom in our dealings with them.
Children's children are a crown to the aged, and parents are the pride of their children.

it's such a huge responsibility to raise your children they way they should go and we're thankful we have the support of all our families!
